Andy is originally from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and now lives in Toronto with his wife.

His latest album, Secret Fun, is a return to solo songwriting (after the 16 collaborators featured on The Sixteen Most Surprising Things).

Aside from Call In the Priest! (lyrics by Jeremy Taylor and cello by Katie Leckie), the record was written and recorded by Andy in the summer of 2009.
